The Pope has spoken.  We need to listen him.  He is absolutely right.

We must follow the true will of God.

This is a complete outrage.

Democrats Stealing Election in Minnesota

Democrats Stealing Election in Minnesota

It has been over a month since the historic election where Barack Obama vaulted to victory and became President of the United States.  Obama handily won winning by seven million votes and two-to-one margin in electoral votes.  To make matters worse, the Senate is on the brink of being a filibuster proof supermajority for the Deomocrats.  Clearly not a good day for conservatives.

Barack Obama won the election not due to the losing message of John McCain, but due to the electorates desire for change.  The turning point came in mid-September when Lehman Brothers failed.  Then the market tanked for several days.   The market lost close to two-thousand points during the last half of September.  This was the last straw.

The voters were tired of the Republican brand in the White House.  But it does not mean forever.

What was not lost was the voters interest in fiscal discipline – a conservative principle.  The voters rejected the Bush Administration for the $25 Billion bailout for the big three automakers.  They rejected the $700 Billion bailout for our nations banks.  They rejected the $125 Billion bailout for AIG.  Their hard earned taxpayer money was going to failing institutions.  And the market still tanked.

No matter what John McCain or Sarah Palin said or did, they could not overcome the frustration with the Republican brand.  They voters insisted on change. Any change.

OK, Obama won.  Now what?

Conservatives must unite and rally around to inject common sense to stop Washington from spending money like a drunken sailor.  The billions, no wait, trillions being spent to bailout every company under the sun must stop.  We must fight for oversight on how this bailout money is being spent.

Conservatives must unite to prevent nationalized (or socialized) health care.  Conservatives must fight for tax reform so inject prosperity into our economy.  We must fight to lower taxes on businesses and individuals.

We must fight for the right to life, liberty and the pursuit happiness.  If we do, we can climb that mountain to retake Washington and Dover, office by office.  We can do this.  We must do this!

While Washington debates the fate of the Big 3 Automakers, we must reflect and question this.  While Ford, Chrysler and General Motors (GM) are all American institutions, bailing them out is not an obligation.  At least not until they have a REAL plan to ensure their vitality.

The Big 3’s failure to have a sensible business model that includes fuel-efficient cars, streamlined product line and a realistic cost model are essential for them to survive and thrive.  Without this they cannot compete against each other, much less their more efficient foreign competitors.  Let’s look at each of them individually:

Chrysler – By far, this automaker is in the worst shape.  Chrysler has no fuel-efficient cars to speak of.  Its product line are big, clunky cars that are the last a carbuyer will look at when gas is hovering at $4.  Their Jeep brand is their biggest assest and most successful, compare to Dodge and Chrysler.

Chrysler also really is not a major force outside of the U.S.  Unlike Ford and GM, they do not have real presence in Europe.  Chrysler also is privately funded and owned by Cerebus.  Chrysler cannot leverage stockholder equity.

General Motors -  The problem with GM is that they like to confuse the consumers with product duplication amongst its entire fleet.  For example, the GMC Yukon is the same vehicle as the Chevy Tahoe.  The Saturn Outlook is the same vehicle as the Buick Enclave, Chevy Traverse and GMC Acadia.  This is just throwing money at the wind maintaing the marketing promotions for duplicate brands and model of the same vehicle.

GM does have an asset in its overseas operations, especially in Europe under the Opel and Vauxhall brands.  Lately, GM has made wise moves to bring some popular models over the U.S.  The Saturn Aura is the US version of the Opel Vectra; and the Saturn Astra is the US version of the Opel Astra.  Sadly GM, did not bring over the same engine as they deploy in the Opel equivalents.  Instead the Aura uses a more gas-guzzling V6 versus a four-cylinder diesel.

GM has a long way to go to compete against the Asians and Europeans in fuel efficient cars.  Unless they leverage their European fleet.

Ford – Ford is in the best position amongst the Big 3.  They appear to have more focused turn-around strategy than Chrysler or GM.  Their cars are getitng smaller and more efficient.  They also seem to be leveraging their highly successful cars from Europe more than GM.

Of the Big 3, they are in the best position for the long-haul.

With all of this being said, the failure of the Big 3 is their product lines and the effectiveness of the management to deliver results.    The federal government should not throw money to wind to bailout them for the sake of automobiles.

Finally, here is the plan to help Detroit succeed.  Require US banks to lend money to Detroit automakers.  Forcing the banks to lend will help Detroit and also help the banks.  The new surgence in lending to corporation will inject sorely-needed market confidence and rally the equity markets.  A win-win for America.

Despite new capital injections via loans from the banks, the Big 3 are not free from pressure to reform.  They must re-negotiate their contracts via pre-packaged bankruptcies to devise a plan to address their obligations to creditors, and be forced to have a comprehensive restructuring plan.  The restructuring plan must reign in costs through new UAW contracts and sale of non-key assets and brands.

The UAW must be a partner in this if the Big 3 are to survive.  The union must be willing to make concession and partner with the Big 3 on health care.

If the UAW would help on this, the Big 3 might have a chance.  Only time will tell.

MEDIA ADVISORY, November 10 /Christian Newswire/ — Bill Keller, founder of Liveprayer.com and the world’s leading internet evangelist, has been long concerned about the American economic crisis, and with the election of Barack Hussein Obama as the 44th president of the United States, Keller declared, “the hand of God has been removed from this nation.”

Keller explains that this nation has been operating in rebellion to God and biblical truth for decades, legally slaughtering four thousand innocent babies daily, making a mockery of God’s plan for marriage and the family, turning to the lusts of the flesh and pleasures of earthly existence, while worshiping the idols and false gods of the world.

Against this backdrop, says Keller, the nation has just elected a man who will insure abortion on demand in all fifty states, champion the radical homosexual agenda, and be friendly to those nations that want to see Israel destroyed. And while President-elect Obama claims to be a Christian, his stated beliefs and actions in office illustrate his rebellion against God and the truth of the Bible. In addition to supporting the legalized killing of the unborn and the homosexual agenda, Obama has stated that he believes the universalistic lie that everyone will get to heaven despite rejecting faith in Jesus Christ.

The United States has had presidents before who were not friends of God, and the nation did not crumble spiritually because at the time there was still a vibrant remnant of true followers of Christ. Today, we have the better percentage of two full generations who have never been to church; so many churches today do little or no evangelism. Over the past forty years, that remnant of true followers has dwindled down considerably as older saints have gone to be with the Lord and haven’t been replaced.

The effect of Obama’s election is that it will empower those who oppose the work of God. Their target will be zeroed in on those who believe, preach, and teach the Bible as God’s inspired, inerrant word, representing absolute truth and our final authority in all matters. They will be out to destroy true followers of Jesus Christ.  The destruction will come in many forms such as the introduction of laws that allow the Bible to be referred to as hate speech, as other countries have already implemented. For the first time, real and tangible persecution is going to be felt by those who refuse to compromise the truth of the Bible and preach the Gospel.

The end result is that people are no longer going to be able to stand in the middle. The election of President Barack Hussein Obama is going to finally force people to take a stand. You are either a follower of Christ, which means you are also a follower of His word, or you are not. Jesus said you can’t serve two masters. Elijah told the people on Mt. Carmel to choose who they would serve. It is now time for true followers of Jesus Christ to step up and take their stand for Christ.

This spring, God gave Keller a vision for this nation and the evangelist launched the Jonah Project. The Lord gave Keller this vision and the Holy Spirit guided him to set up this vehicle to bring together true followers of Jesus Christ at this moment in human history, to call this nation to repentance, to turn back to God and biblical truth, and to help lead the lost to faith in Jesus Christ while taking a bold and visible stand on the social issues of our day.

Please visit the Jonah Project homepage at www.liveprayer.com/jonah/ and watch the vision video. The only hope for our nation and for each soul is to turn back to God and biblical truth.
